System/Hardware Requirements

The program is a software application that uses a voice capable modem to handle incoming telephone calls.

• IBM-compatible personal computer with Pentium or higher processor.
• Windows 95/98/2000 or NT 4.0

  Windows 95 and NT 4 users: you will need an updated comctl32.dll or Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 or 5.

• Caller ID capable voice modem connected to your telephone line

• Caller ID service from your telephone company

• Sound card and connected speakers recommended

Caller ID

In order to receive Caller ID information you have to subscribe to a Caller ID service from your telephone company. The supported Caller ID standards follow:

• Bellcore (U.S., Canada, Australia, and some other countries)
• ETSI, British Telecom, CCA (United Kingdom)
• Russian ANI (Russia, some other European countries)
• DTMF (some European countries) - Finland, Norway, Sweden etc. Supported by PowerBit modems.
